Fascinating tales often accompany the antiques, heirlooms and vintage treasures that abound in Connecticut, a state with a rich 400-year history.
CPTV's producers will select six of “treasures” and stories to feature on CPTV's weekly television series, All Things Connecticut. These segments could range from how a wooden rocking chair was hand-carved and passed on from someone's great-great-grandfather to how an eagle-eyed collector spotted a highly prized piece of sports memorabilia at a flea market last year.
Story ideas will come from CPTV's
November 8th Connecticut Treasure Hunt event. We will use footage obtained from the event to create an opening montage that features our host doing investigative research at the event. He may also interview key subjects about their items. After that, we’ll visit selected individuals at their homes to learn more about the object, as well as research the significance of the piece. These elements will be combined to create a lively, entertaining, 4 to 6 minute package. This new segment will compliment our other weekly segments.
