CIAC Class M State High School Softball Championship – Lauralton Hall vs. St. Joseph

STRATFORD- Just one year after losing to Seymour in the state finals, St. Joseph came back, and this time, they left with a state championship.

The Cadets got timely hitting and pitching as they knocked off Lauralton Hall to win the Class M Softball State Championship, 3-2, at DeLuca Field in Stratford.

The Cadets took a 3-0 lead in the third inning, then held on behind solid relief pitching from Nicole Cote to secure the win.

Last year, St. Joseph lost in the title game to Seymour, 1-0.  This year, the Cadets finish with a record of 23-4, and a state title.
