Behind the Wheel: Producer Profiles


Jennifer Boyd

Three-time Emmy Award winning documentary producer Jennifer Boyd, is owner of Boyd Productions, LLC. For 21 years, Jennifer has been producing, directing and writing award-winning documentaries for television and non-profit organizations. Her projects have taken her across the United States and to countries such as the Czech Republic, Kenya, Haiti, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Nigeria.

Over the past seven years, Jennifer has produced 6 documentaries that have been distributed internationally through the PBS distribution system (PBS Plus).

Portions of Teens: Behind the Wheel have been shown on Good Morning America, Dateline, ABC World News Tonight and MSNBC, as well as numerous local news stations across the country. The documentary has also been written about in the New York Times, Providence Journal, Hartford Courant and other newspapers across the country.


Cathy Jackman

Cathy has worked in the video industry for over 20 years. After many years as an online editor and nonlinear editor, she has branched out into working as associate producer, copy editor, DVD author and Post Production supervisor. She taught Post-Production at Quinnipiac University, holds a B.A. from Smith College, and is currently at work writing and producing a biographical documentary. Her work has been shown at numerous film festivals, and in 2007 she received a national DVDA Excellence Award. In her spare time, she can be spotted bicycling around New Hampshire and Western Massachusetts.


Catherine Sager

Catherine Sager has been a television producer for over 20 years. Her professional background is diverse. She has worked for clients including WGBH in Boston, Hedrick Smith, Discovery Health and Home and Garden Television. Ms. Sager has worked in various capacities with Boyd Productions since moving to West Hartford several years ago. She brings to “Parents and Teens: Behind the Wheel” years of experience in science, public affairs and reality programming.
