This company was one of the first of its kind in the country...they take in gutted kitchens, office furniture, cabinetry and other things for charitable contributions...and sell it in warehouses at an enormous discount. And now they are partnering with high-end kitchen design companies with the concept of a "kitchen trade-in". People donate their used kitchens, get a tax write-off, and have their kitchens removed free of charge. They’re saving the debris from landfills, and saving money for their customers. One of the flagship stores is here in Norwalk. They now servicing customers from New Hampshire to Virginia...and selling kitchens all across the country. Much of the proceeds from the sales are donated to the 12-step program in Pennsylvania that saved owner Steve Feldman's life. He considers himself a "recycling entrepreneur."
